There should be an option to find out your current z-value :)
Also, htmud needs major graphical speedupage.
And for getting better graphics, you gotta decide on a format and how it tells if the tileset is old school low res crap, or neato pretty high res.

Err yeah... I wasn't logged in... I now see you can find your z-value by going into edit mode.
