The Simpsons vs. Family Guy. The War has begun.

The question that has pondered the world over........who is better? The Simpsons or Family Guy?
Now from what I gathered this is what I think.........

Humor

1.The Simpsons humor is for everybody. And is actually very funny. But the new seasons are terrible.
2. Family Guy's humor is however is not for everyone. But still hilarious. But now with the new season Family Guy , they seem to be relying too much on sexual humor to survive. How sad.

Animation

1. The Simpsons animation before in the late 1980's was awful and crude.
But now the animation is done on computers just like Family Guy. So both have good animation.

Jokes

1. The jokes in The Simpsons weren't as good until the 5th season started and the show became the god of humor. And now the humor is not as good as before. But still good.

2. Family Guys Humor was always funny from the start. But there were some really bad episodes as well. Like the Christmas Special. That was laughless. But now the jokes are all sexual, and nothing else. As said above.

WHO STARTED FIRST.

The Simpsons started on in 1987 as short films on The Tracey Ullman Show. And then became full length episodes in 1989 on Fox. Then Family Guy started on Fox in 1999. Then got cancelled in 2002. And brought back in 2005. So I guess The Simpsons was first. And had more seasons then Family Guy.

The war that I speak of is that both The Simpsons and Family Guy are both on Fx now. And the war is to see which one will last the longest. Thats what I talking about.

The Simpsons will continue until the creators want it to due to the obscenely long contract they signed with FOX. Family Guy doesn't have this option, yet. FOX doesn't like either. :P

Family Guy is a great show, but like all good shows it has to end. Ther is a chance that it will go on forever, but I don't know if Family Guy's style of humor will last that long.

The Simpson, on the other hand, gets its laugh by taking real life events and twisting. There a typical family with over exaggerated traits. As American Culture changes the simpson changes. Just look at the Simpsons first season. The stlye of humor is totally different than it is today, because people were different back then. The Simpson will go on till Matt Groeing either retires or Dies.

I like The Simpsons a lot, but I've also had some great laughs with Family Guy. I get a huge kick out of the baby in Family Guy, always trying to take over the world, or destroy those that displease him.
