Well,its saturday *sigh* But this week has been great,now,I have a fast server and desktop, Although both are not done yet,I upgraded my desktop last,its not as fast as the server (1700+ bred vs xp 2500+ 333 at 1.8) But BOTH are working out great. my Ram in my server is OCZ 1 gb DDR 400 mhz and my desktop is kingston DDR 333 512 hyper peformance.the server currently has a GF3 TI and i am upgrading both the desktop and server to radeon 9x00 as soon as I can. So WHY tell you about this post? well, because I noticed something. I have always loved AMD Processors, I had a alienware 1.4 ghz Athlon T-BIRD and there wasnt much of a diffrence bettween the 900 and the 1400.....however,after I put in the XP T-BRED,I noticed that even though,like the alienware, its 500 mhz faster,the peformance is FAR better,and the server CPU clocks pretty well too. The T-BRED xp 1700+ opened and loaded UT and TFC in milliseconds compared to my 900 mhz,so it looks like im finilly ready to take on things I couldnt before.
