what if there was a new board for programers and people who want to learn how to program, there are programers here and some people might want to learn so the board could be used to exchange tips and help people

I think it *might* be a good idea.

I do webprogramming but I have allways wanted to learn game programming I mean the majority of code I read makes sense but writing it out is what will kill me.

I think a generalized editing area might be good. Might be a nice place to post project updates and whatnot (awesomerpg? :P)

I think that a programming help / advice board would be better suited to another, more specialized site. If you wanna learn about C++ programming, then a forum with members who are entirely C++ programmers would make more sense. I'm sure EA members would try to help, but there's only so much we can do.

how many people are programers on EA?

Oh, there are some of us. Some more talented than others, naturally, but we have our strengths.

people could upload things they have made and other people can review it and tell them how they can make it better

I am a programmer too!

As am I, Although I am not as well trained in C++, but i know a wide variety, I started with Delphi when i was young (8-10) then moved on to VB6 which was easy, then C# and Vb.Net, and i have started on C++.. although im more intrested in Maya and 3D Movie Design and Creation (Generally Movie Design and Creation)

Also if your intrested in Game Design, ited be wise to Write up your own Game Design theory (Ex. RPG,FPS,Puzzle, Mixtures?, etc) however it is fairly hard to come up with a unique one (unless you expand on it) you can also work on a game creation plan, that you'll use for most games you make, make it general, and keep it only to yourself, unless of course you want to share with someone, but then it wouldnt be only your's =/ (a good point of sharing is the person may know a better way of doing somthing ;))

Anyways, its time for sitting dully staring at the screen and then falling asleep >.>

Competitions? I'm stuck in Java land... I could try Visual Basic programs or learning C++, but meh.

(Unless we have "Ugliest Visual Basic Program", I love those.)

Sure, I'll set up something soon. Going to patch the forums to the latest version first, then I'll set up the forum. :)

Insane: I really like the idea of "Ugliest Visual Basic Program" competition :D

Hex is just a way of represting numbers in base 16 format. Not useful by itself, but since memory/code is often divided into 8, 16, and 32 segments it's helpful to concisely represent machine code in it.
