Fyre had lots of "fun" getting his NWN to run correctly. Click Read More to view the full adventures.Well, after along time of tring to play NeverWinter Nights,i found in the Readme file that Bioware, does NOT support SiS chipsets (they said they lack OpenGl 1.2 compatable drivers) WELL,not ALL is lost,SiS in fact DOES make openGL 1.2 compliant drivers, how ever they are tricky to find (mine came with my videocard vendor (http://www.maddogmultimedia.com (SiS 315 chipset)
After tring with the normal drivers,i remembered that i used to use a program called DirectGL by SCITECH or someodd, this is a program that somehow (dont ask me how) speeds up your videocard (i pull in 135 FPS max in Q3A,how it has a reverse affect on other games, like half-life)IF YOU USE A SiS CHIPSET,DOWNLOAD YOUR LATEST DRIVERS,SET YOUR DESKTOP TO 800x600x32x60 and Load DirectGL in "Use vendor drivers" this makes NWN work fine (you have to click past the ATARI movie, other wise it stays black.)
i thought this would be helpfull.
