Slashdot reports that a video game award show (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/12/20/0510225&mode=thread&tid=127) is coming. While undoubtably this is a good thing for the video game industry, I believe the categories are too narrow. Of course, there needs to be categories based on characters, but how about awards for best plot? best sound? best cinematography? That is what truly seperates a great game from a mediocre one.
