Before I left, insane pointed me to www.multiplayer.com, which has some quality links. There was a game called Xshipsim or something similar in which you piloted around a 2d mmorpg universe (I suppose subspace style, or similar). Anyone think it's interesting? May be linux only though :(

Zips suggests that text mudding may be fun as well.

Text mudding... I dunno, I mean, it's great that its so creative and you can do whatever you want, but it's boring to most people because its text only.

Assuming Insane is talking about AstroBattle, it seems to be a pay for play kind of deal :(.

Too bad there aren't any half decent open-source MM games :'(

No, it wasn't astrobattle, it was Xshipwars or something like that, opensource I think.

Update: http://wolfpack.twu.net/ShipWars/XShipWars/ ;)

*anti-think*

I was playing a game yesterday with Sim, pretty good (a bit laggy though...). Anyways, it had GREAT potential, and an easy to use interface.... Sim... help me out here...

Yes. It was basicly htmud with combat. And sheep. Lots of sheep. Had potential though... Mysteria I think it was called.

Alternatively... *bam* (http://forums.mud.htmod.com/viewtopic.php?t=73)! :P

:P

It was a game of pressing spacebar repeadly to kill sheep. Probably more interesting in later levels.

Though its character creation was uberl33t ;)

"It was a game of pressing spacebar repeadly to kill sheep. "

And when Sim says "kill", he means his character humped them into oblivion.

Well if you hold DOWN space, it does the same exact thing (kills sheep)... though now thanks to countless hours spent killing sheep, I'm now capable of killing Giant Flies... :/

I'm kinda interested, but these Lego games are too good.

/me swats <whoever needs swatting> with a spacebar.

And when I say spacebar... I mean the big long key on a keyboard. And don't take that out of context either :P

Sim, what's with your explaining your actions as of late?

Insane2757

See Sim! You're confusing Insane with your explanations of everything!

STOP SCARING THE CHILDREN! :P

Sim9

Because if I don't explain it, I'll be misinterpreted. And when I say misinterpreted, I mean slapping people with trout. And when I say explain, I mean... scaring children.... :P

Scaring children? Zips, you posted your picture on the forums! Who are you to talk of not scaring children?
