View Full Version : My Animation

I did an animation... care to see? ;)
Initially taken from ODE point data from one of their examples, I wrote an exporter that writes .pov files in realtime. These 1000 .pov files were rendered in full quality, 640x480 in just 40 minutes... on a 30 computer linux cluster ;)
Go go go! (http://editingarchive.com/view.php?ID=433)

I'm ALMOST done downloading that animation...
Sim, why do you have access to 30 linux servers?
I'm scared.
lol, finished yet?
And I have access because they're comp sci machines. I think there's a total of ~75?

ah... so they're just user desktop machines, and not servers? ...
Oh yeah, I watched the video. I guess it's a nice demonstration of physics, even if it is a bit boring. Make one with more explosions :)
I noticed in the background music they sing / shout "AIE!" ... Is that the only reason you picked that music?
All of them are linux
And all of them are faster than htnet... :(
Boring?! pfeh! You wouldn't know excitement if it hit you with a glass block :P
As for aie, that's just a nice side-effect ;)
