I am interested in weapon modeling for HL but i can find anywhere to begin like a site for teaching it or whatever. I'm not a total newbie, i love fixing the scientists' texture files. :D

Well, first off MILKSHAPE is a good modler maya or 3dsmax work to as i understand, as per modeling tuts, www.wavelength.com may have some, #wavelength on gamesnet. or even better you can google Half-Life modeling tut and probably get some good ones.

Wavelength (thewavelength.net if I remember correctly) has some good tutorials.

If you're using milkshape, they have a whole bunch, which are generally high-quality

Also, I think the SDK may come with one, though I'm not sure how user friendly it is.

Btw, Welcome to the forums :) Feel free to poke around and post in the other boards too :)

Thanks for the help! vlatitude is really helping. Is milkshape only for characters; and can i make weapons on milkshape?

Oh, i finished my FIRST real project. I changed barney's clothes to total camouflage.
If you want to see it just email me.

Why don't you post the camo-barney to Editing Archive (not the forums but the "login to EA and then on the member screen upload a file")? Be sure to post a thumbnail / screenshot of the model too.

Milkshape can be used for characters, weapons, animations, anything really ('cept maps).
