Neat. DesktopX (http://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/) is a similar tool, but non-free.

Yahoo widgets is some months old now. Yahoo widgets was created when they bought Konfabulator. Konfabulator is a widget program for mac and windows. Mac OS X has dashboard too. Stardock has been around longest with its suite of software. Its not free if you want the fullness. Yahoo widgets is free though.
