At my school, the have this thing, The Festivus for the Rest of Us. It's like a talent show... but most of the acts are terrible. Usually the last few acts are the only ones worth watching...

One of my bands was the second from the last, and we were told that we could win some money, but apparently, that was just said to make us join... :( Oh well, it was a fun-ish show anyway.

I once entered - and won - a trivia contest in high school with one of my friends... turns out, the "prize" was meant to be donated back, as an act of charity or some BS like that. So, I won money and was forced to give it away.
