View Full Version : Best Case Mod Ever?
If you're a fan of the cube series of movies, you might very well like this case mod I happened upon. Unfortunately, I have no information on the mod other than this awesome picture, as the originating blog is down.
Update: Stumbled upon these (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2004/12/20/hypercube_part_1/1.html) three (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/01/04/hypercube_part_2/1.html) write-ups (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/01/10/hypercube_part_3/1.html) if you want additional info, and this page (http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005/01/10/hypercube_part_3/2.html) are where the amazing pictures start :)

Now all you need is to incorporate a keyboard, a mouse, and your joystick (should you choose to accept it), and you'll be set.

Indeed, and when I have a job and enough money to actually buy things, it shall be on my project list :)

Huh... I thought such machines were called "laptops." Oh well... guess I was mistaken.
Sim: Awesome mod... and I know I've seen it before. Not sure if it was in CPU or from your source, but I know I've seen it... this was just before I got to watch Hypercube at your place, so it didn't mean much at the time.

Travis: The laptop may be so, but a desktop is much more powerful, isn't it? Putting all the necessary do-dads into the body of the machine just saves a little space on your desk... and makes you computer look cool. 8)

I use my laptop over my crappy fat computer. The computer is from like 97 or something but laptop=100x faster lol.

Wow that hypercube one looks really classy. I'm a big fan of computers that don't look like computers :)

lol Thanks, rm. Is it just me, or can anyone else totally hear him saying "Why, thank you, Walrii. I'm a big fan of you, too." when you look at that picture?

I totally can... and some might think it would be embarrassing to say this, but I went through a Star Trek phase a little while ago. It was great.
