I've seen a lot of mosaic (many pictures making up a larger picture) images in my time. Some better than others. This one though, is awesome. Be warned though, that the full / high resolution download is 9 megs.

I hope it was assembled in some form of automated fashion. Identifying / Capturing / Placing 11K images sounds like it would take forever

I was thinking the same thing. With a program that could do that, you could make mosaics out of most anything, providing you had the screencaps. (Ruby?)
