Server Woes

Sim im not blaming you i know you have been on vacation. I just thoug ht it would be best to bring to you attention the problems with the stream that have been occuring in your absence. here are some excerpts from the IRC log on May 16

i have concluded that the servers are waiting for an opening as opposed to searching finding server full and not displaying "server full" if this is the way you wish it i hvae no complaints i just think you should officially post it as such

yup and it dosent say icy server full, and try to reconnect by it self so people think its an error or service unavailable,.....

This problem started when the relays came on stream. <_<
Could be a NSV server problem :ph34r:

Sim I can attest to this since I had to see if I could connect for some people having problems. Only was able to connect right after the end of whatever episode was on, and while it was commercialing.

I tried every relay and main connection and none of them went past 0%, and so far as I could tell they weren't full.

And might I add, DAMN YOU WALRII FOR MAKING ME CHECK OUT THE STREAM WHEN I DISLIKE ANIME! DAMN YOU SIR!

I later checked it too, got the same 0% error, so... in reality, it wasn't necessary for you to check it, cause I checked it anyways.

I've seen various Anime... I just don't care for it.

... Unless Cowboy Bebop counts as an Anime. ... Sort of liked a few of those episodes... <_<

Here's a bit of a hint, this place only turned into an Anime crazed place about 2 months ago. I've been in IRC since about 2001 for here, the sites around then, and the forums when started them in 2002.

0% buffering = server full. We've lost our biggest relay, so we really have no chance of meeting demand now. Sorry guys :(

The odd problems could be related to the fact that the video was 640x480 but was supposed to be 320x240. Hah. Whoops ;)

We may see about bumping the res up. Doesn't increase bandwidth, but does seem to increase quality! :D

yeah, EA was originally a great place to find Half-life and Half-life mod files (maps, downloads etc) (still is too)

If anyone has ever used fileplanet.com to download gaming files, you noticed the massive waiting in line (even though they have multiple servers you sometimes would have to wait hours) and the required registration. EA requires none of that :)
