View Full Version : [RESOLVED] SimWorld - Does not start here

HI,

I only get an Invalid page fault when trying to start the game (launcher works fine though).

Does the game require SSE to run?

BTW: I noticed that the installer creates both
HKCU\Software\Archive Entertainment\SimWorld
and
HKCU\Software\SimWorld

A little redundant :)

Cheers,

Joe

Good catch on the installer, it should only be creating the one! I'll add myself a task :)

I don't think SW requires SSE, but it does require a 3d accelerator. Does your system have one? Also, please attach the output of Console.log in your SW install folder (if it generated one).

Welcome to The Archive, and hope we're able to get you up and running soon :)

HI,

thanks for the quick response, I was on holidays.
The invalid page fault only happens when I'm trying to run on Win98SE uder my WinXP installation it works fine.
There are no log files created when it crashed on Win98...

Cheers, Joe

Sorry, Windows 98 isn't supported. Glad it's working on your XP though! :)

Pfft. I demand Windows 95 support! 3.11 if you get some spare time. Maybe we can get it to run in Dos?
