Again, another cool site I found. I know that in game graphics / textures often look like poo if done by a programmer, so I thought I'd share with you guys this site:
http://cgtextures.com/
Basically, it's got lots of textures of many types and in good resolutions, no watermarks, and its all free. I think they could really look good in SimWorld *cough* *cough* or any 3D game for that matter, and they would help give any game its own individual look instead of using standard / prepackaged textures that look a little too familiar sometimes.

That's very cool, Walrii... Although, it looks more like a repository of free material from which to make textures. That just from my cursory look at the site. Maybe there's more than just that. It's very cool, though, and always nice to see some freely available assets to work with.
[Edit:] I wish to amend to my previous statement. All the images are indeed "scratch material" for making textures... but they also have tutorials for making said textures, and that is just bonified bad... well, you know. +10 for sure! Good find, Walrii!
Good find, Walrii! +10 for sure :)
It's actually not too awful to go and create tiling textures from images given the image was taken in the correct conditions; I've done this on several occasions. And like Travis points out, it looks like they've got some good tutorials.
I think I might just make an Archive Tutorials page with some links to my favorite texture sites! Meanwhile, Walrii should get started doing some SW mapping/texturing/skinning ;)
UPDATE: New page up here (http://editingarchive.com/tutorials/art/free_textures_and_texturing_tutorials)! Feel free to add to the list :)
