My band

A few months ago, I finally got a band started. We recorded a song in Chicago (It came out terrible).
But I recorded another song which is a guitar solo in my room and I recorded half of a song that I'm still writing.

Oh, my band's name is Mace. I don't care that there's another band named Mace, we're sticking to this name. It refers to the medeival weapon used to torture people. The spikey ball with a handle :P.

Nice, I liked the solo of Ignorant Devils but the recorded sounded a bit odd. Passive God sounded better in terms of recording. Same with Edge of the Horizon. I'm guessing you recorded it with all the instruments playing at once instead of multitracking, right?

Also, a mace is a melee weapon, not just used for torture :p

Actually, everyone recorded Ignorant Devils at the same time, except for the singer. Passive Gods and Edge Of The Horizon both I recorded by myself. The guitars were me, and I used a drum machine since we don't have a drummer. I had to record all of those separately.

Well some people may have gotten it confused with the spraying mace that burns your eyes ;0.

Mace: A stick, with a spiky ball attached to the end of it.
Flail: A stick, with a chain attached to the end of it, with potentially a spiky ball attached to the opposing end of the chain.
Morning Star: Arguably a term for either, but technically referring to the ball itself and not the stick or stick + chain apparatus needed to fling it at people without puncturing your hand in the process.

So consider us all winners, and all losers. [We are, after all, arguing the definition of a medieval - Yes folks, MEDIEVAL! Spell it properly! - weapon.]

Also, let us get back to what spawned all of this. Evan, if you have people believe that your band is named after a rape defense mechanism versus a medieval torture weapon, you may be selling yourself short. That, or you need to hang out with people who don't suck quite so hard. A band is only as cool as the people around them.
