Courtesy of Zetx in IRC, here's an interesting video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvgwR9ERCBo&NR=1) introducing a bunch of extra dimensions you can't use for anything practical (yet!) :P

It seemed good. Well narrated, well animated, with clear examples. But, my attention span is not 11 minutes long :(

Excellent video! Quite easy to understand if you watch it to the end. This cleared most of my uncertainties about dimensions.

Somewhere out there, a fifth dimensional Walrii is gloating about his understanding of 10 dimensions :P

On a related note, this video along with some outside events (such as a class I'm taking in which we discussed interconnection networks alot [one type of which is the hypercube]) have made me want to watch the movie "Cube."

Also: apparently they made a prequel to cube called Cube Zero? Shouldn't it be called Square? Is it any good?

Cube, Hypercube, and Cube Zero are all fantastic movies. Truly awesome B-class entertainment.

Also, Sim is not exactly the most unbiased source of information for the movies. He's a bona-fide nut for them.

Some of my favorite films... these are the pinnacle of indie film making, awesome in every dimension :D

Watch in this order: Cube, Hypercube, Cube Zero. ;)

Did I hear Cube? I think you should watch them with THIS order:

1. Wear Blindfold
2. Insert earplug

Or, alternatively,

1. Shut off brain
2. Drool on TV
3. Short-circuit TV

I recommend you ignore Insane2757 on all matters Cube related :P

I like the white background feels like a white board from school.

I've just finished watching all 3, and while what Sim9 posted IS the order they were made, it's not in order of greatness.

In descending order of awesome:
Cube, Cube Zero, Hypercube.

Cube was great in most respects, but I thought Leaven went nuts a little too easily. Otherwise brilliant, well worth watching.

Cube Zero was nice, and has the best acting in the series, but it might have been nicer not to have the backstory of Cube explained. But I did really like the way they linked through to the first film at the end.

While the concept in Hypercube was interesting, the acting was terrible. Also they essentially repeated the plot of Cube, right down to one of the group going nuts and killing everyone.

So yeah. You should definitely watch them :p

If you're posting those in decending order (Greatest to Worst), then I might have to say that my order of greatness is exactly the opposite. But that's the great thing about the Cube movies... they're wonderful/terrible to different people for different reasons.

Definitely well worth watching, though.

Yeah, I was posting order you should watch them... not order of greatness. My order of greatness (starting with the best): Cube Zero, Cube, Hypercube :)
