Hello Everyone,

My name is Lee Cupp I am a novice game developer who is the project owner of Take Down Online (http://174studios.com). I have zero experience at anything except for level editing and design of gameplay. I have a different take on game development and that is the gamer should come first (to an extent). For to long the gaming industry has been putting less gameplay in and more eye candy. Don't get me wrong I like eye candy too, but when you can play a game for 5 hours and get to the end game, well that sucks. The really big part is that we pay 50 bucks a and more for these games.

Thank you for the read and I look forward to being active in the community

Welcome, Mr. Cupp! I sympathize with your cause. I remember beating The Force Unleashed (among others) within hours and being very disappointed.
I saw your game on Archive Games. I'll have to try it out sometime.

I would like to complain about the opposite situation. Playing Okami, I reached a point and I thought, "Oh? I'm at the end already? Has it been X hours already? Well, it was a great game. I'm happy with my purchase."

And then, I find out that I'm halfway through...

Still, it's a great game! :)

I'm down with the shorter games, but I'm also most certainly down for not paying through the teeth for them. Episodic is the name of the game now, but I find it a little difficult to pay $10 for a 2 hr. game. I just finished up Sam & Max 101... and thank god I paid for the whole season (which is probably half the cost of buying the individual episodes upon release) - and half off at that, too. It was super fun, but I'd have a hard time justifying it for the original cost.

I think that publishers in general need to come down on what they expect people to shell out for their games. $40 seems acceptable for a brand new game of ordinary retail quality. $20-30 for portables, and $10 or below for episodic or small distributed titles. But $50, $60, $70? No sir! No thank you.

$70? Woah, seems expensive. Is that the cost of the next season of Sam & Max? :P

No... that's the average cost of your typical "Special Edition" game.

The special edition of Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 was $80.

I put 60 hours into one character and still didn't do all the quests. It's a big game.

Fallout 3 has a huge amount of content.
