Mapping for the EA TFC Server

Yep, I'm going to be making maps for the tfc server, if you don't mind Sim :).

I've already started on a couple (not really that much done, lol) But still, it's off to a good start. If you'd like to see some of my work I wouldn't mind posting a picture :D.

So yeah, I'd like to possibly be put into Archive TFC projects, and other neat stuff. I'd also like some good advice on other types of mapping and compiling and stuff. I'd really appreciate it :).

The first map I'm going to work on for awhile is going to be called ea_2simple, because it's going to be a simple map. I don't wanna spend too much time on it, but I also don't want it to look like crap :P. The second map I'm working on is going to be called ea_2complex (heh) and it's probably going to take me a few months before I can finish it (there's a LOT of work to be done). So yeah, if you want to see my work, I can either take a desktop screenshot for you or just send you the file :).

Lol, I would, but it's both barely have anything finished, and I don't know how to make doors, buttons, spawnpoints, and battlements :P.

It's a good tutorial site, it just didn't have what I need exactly. I need to know how to make entities. I know how to use the entity tool and all, it's just that in the Objects bar, there's nothing listed.

Looks like you need to set up your FGD files for HL and TFC. I recommend that you use the beginner tutorials (http://twhl.co.za/where.php) from the site Tyranic posted earlier. Try to read through the whole thing if you want to get anywhere; there are just too many little options and configurations to make guesses at. Good luck. :)
