Hi It's been awhile since I have even been on this site. But I have a question.
Well I wanted 2 know what ftw means. I think it means (for the win).
But there is another word some people think ftw means (**** the world).
Now I'm trying 2 make this as vague as possible but I just want 2 know if I should be insulted or not.
or if there is another meaning
(THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THE OTHER MEANING PLEASE DON'T SAY IT)
:)

It's For The Win. Those other guys need to lighten up :P

Generally urbandictionary.com can settle these kinds of things, so if you see acronyms or phrases you don't know, a quick visit can usually sort you out :)
FTW, for example: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ftw (WARNING: Some profanity is to be expected on urbandictionary)

+10 to Tyranic for his helpful advice.
Here is my favorite resource (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=FTW) for such things.

I completely hate you. You beat me to it.
Anyways, according to Google, it means: Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien (http://www.ftw.at/ftw/)
Ah, and google-wise apparently FTL means Faster-than-light.

That's what it was in Mass Effect! What else could it possibly mean?!

And Bing says that an example of a search related to "FTW" would be a search for "Family Tree Maker."

Wouldn't that make it FTM, then? Good lord, Microsoft technology sucks.
