You Guys Host A Tfc Server?

Firstly...I was told of this website on "+---------custom maps (fast download)-----------+" (TFC server) but having not seen anything spacific to TFC, I'm wondering if I got the correct site...lacking any other posible leads to a server admin, I came here

Are you connected to this server in some way? If so it seems the admin mod has quit running because no one can do a votemap now, kamakazi, admin_vote_kick, nextmap and some other comands are not working either...many thanks to whoever could fix this (assuming that the server broke and this is not an admin changing things of course)

oh yeah...I forgot to post the second problem

I had one heck of a time getting here because the webpage would stop loading and it would say "done" at the left bottom corner of the screen

I'm using the latest version of ineternet explorer and I had my pop up blocker and spybot disabled (those are typical culprits of such a problem) but it made no difference

Today however, it seems to be working fine

You seem to have been trying right when I was trying to view all the news posts to find a link. But that shouldn't have caused you to not have the page load, unless it's not computer/user/IP/cookie dependent :huh:

I confirmed that it IS doing weird stuff, including killing people on join in k_solider. (Urk).

I will try to fix it now :)

theres a new problem on ur server...it goes by the name "Tommi" and he likes to abuse the "kamikazi" thing killing his whole team as they are trying to finish the escape maps

I'm ok with ppl who just do it once in a blue moon but this guy does it all map long, else he causes the teleporter on colonyx_r to get all choked up and we dont have any option but to tk him + any others that he casue to get stuck

could you plz give the ban power to regulars, I know we can kick but they just come right back...like a one hr ban would be great and since its a vote its not something that could be abused

PS: thx again for fixing the server...I really like playing the escape maps (doesn't mean I'm good at em tho ;)) as do many others

Ok, tomorrow I will install the following plugins:

"Ban voting...I love to ban." (for player voting on bans)
"FoxBot Control Plugin" (for admins to change bot settings)
"Disable FoxBots" (for people to vote to turn off bots)
"Locating players on map" (for admins - since I find myself using teleport #'s far too much :lol: )

All of these are available here (http://www.adminmod.org/index.php?go=/ascript/plugin) if you want to look, or suggest other ones.

Also, if you need some limited admin powers, post or PM your full WonID.

One possible way to find your id is to start a server, go into console and type "stat". You should get something like:

Find your steamid in there, it should look like "STEAM_0:0:3693688" for doomslay.

more server troubles i'm afraid.....it has some terrible "reliable channle overflow" issues. if there are ever three ppl playing and someone trys to connect, one is getting the boot and each player seems to be having a turn at it

The bots don't seem to affect anything, just real players

On day one of this I figured it was something with steam but now that its been the same for about two or three days I'm not sure what it is

Sim's away so I guess you'll have to wait a few more days (hopefully not many) until things are sorted out.

When you tried to find out your ID by typing stat in the console, what do you mean it "didn't work"? Did it say invalid command, did the game crash, did nothing print at all???

By the way, you don't type the quotes in "stat" and as you are typing it, remember you have to have started the server with your account, and as you are typing "stat" out, Steam should list stat as a possible command (ie, you type the "s" and the "t" and right underneath the console, a little popup dialog will appear with "stat" listed along with possibly other commands [I haven't tried it]).

EDIT: I just tried this out, and reliezed (sp?) that there is a "stat" and a "stats" command, be sure you type only "stat." In other news, I couldn't get it to work, since it displayed my ID as something like STEAM_ID_LAN.

I got nothing with any of the above...(unless I am running the server)

I'm thinking you have to be an admin for it because stat will work on a server that I start but I can't see my true ID because it only returns "STEAM_ID_LAN"

overflow happens a lot on leehotel when someone goes near the key room

You must be running the server for it to work.

it is for me, guess you won't be seing me on the TFC server anymore

took me a while to find a server that was playable with my modem too...probably for the better since college starts in 4 weeks

I think they are trying to jam to many phonelines on our local switchboard and refusing to upgrade it because there seems to be a prity constant number of people moving in around here and at the same time, my ping & DL times are going up

Or, it mite have something to do with a construction project thats at a school about 3 miles from here...the timing seems to match

If only high speed internet were available out here, cabble company doesn't want to run wire out to a rural area, and satelite companies won't cover an area were only one client wants that type of service

For once, something worked...but something is still whack about the connection, took nearly a minut and a half just to DL the securty modual and my connection stayed that crappy the whole time I was there

guess I'll have to play with rate and cl_cmd some more

oh yeah...another map that looks like it mite be fun, but I got stuck in this one part....run3_r

As for summer break...I've been so miserably board this summer, I don't know if I'll take one next year

eh, teh serv0r app3ars to be b0rk3d again...I've just about given up on playing online anymore but the others might like it fixed

its doing the kill-on-spawn thing again and there is only one bot out of six logged on

I changed the map to 2fort :)

The spawn kill I found typically happens on k_thegame

Also reset timelimit to 25 minutes (occasionally it sets itself obscenely high)

yeah...the vote extend does that...extend it once and it goes for 25, extend again and it goes for 50

I kinda like it with infinate time tho...then u can vote to change it whenevr you want

hmm, true, but when no one's on a 2+ player map like k_thegame, infinite time means a pointless map download. :(
