Not months, but two weeks. Getting things downloaded via bittorrent is hard since my campus has capped it, and thus downloading is uberslow :(

And now I do have some anime (and uber amv's), but unfortunately I have no ways of encoding it as my laptop is borked. Maybe permanently.
What I may do is install it up on the workstation I use at work, and run it in the background. I'll see about doing this: we may have updates yet! :D

What encoding needs doing? i.e. what codex :)
My machine is running 12 - 18 hrs a day, mostly seeding :D
If you let me have the info, I could do some encoding and, if you give me an FTP account, I could then push it onto the server :)
I can do Kazahana straight away, cuz I have that already :YES:
Any big series (that I don't have) may have to wait until I get another HD :P

I'd like to see some Azumanga Daioh on here that anime cracks me up so bad XD
but im sort of new to EATV ive only seen the Kanon Episodes the commercials are so hilarious I couldnt breathe! :lol: Anyway ill try and donate something i did win bingo last week... ($10,000 ^_^) Oh yes nice to be here :)

The technical process for converting anime:
1) Use virtualdub to resize the anime nicely into the 320x240 dimensions for eatv, and the 20.0 fps required.
2) Use nsvenc to convert it to vp6.1 format at a certain bitrate with many other specific settings so eatv will play it correctly.
If you (or others) are seriously interested, I will post a HOWTO. You will also have to make sure that you are not converting or decoding with DivX because that will watermark the anime.

Actually, it's not the same. For one, you aren't "stealing" all the physical costs of the anime like packaging, disks, etc. And second, if you were to physically steal the goods, the store would have a full loss of the wholesale price, instead of the distributor having a loss of just the cost of IP rights.
Now, that's a minor argument, and I do want to support anime companies. But asking $25 for ~4 episodes is a rather steep price. Bring down the prices and sales might go up. :no:
