I second the recommendation on Chrono Crusade, great series!

I've seen some of bleach, and it looked like it had some promise from what I saw.

I found Kenshin to be too slow for my tastes, but that's usually how I perceive 100-episode series

Yeah Kenshin was slow at times but entertaining. Bleach is good but branches away from the main storyline somewhat after the second series. Tsubasa chronicles and Devil May Cry have been pretty good as well from what I have watched.

Hi all! Couldn't resist answering this, but hrm.... the real question is favorite anime WHEN?

Having spent my weekday mornings getting up early just to catch the next episode of Robotech before they took it off the air (yes I KNOW they were playing the hacked version, but c'mon... it was the 80's and I was 14)... I have to um... well that USED to be my fave anime. But not anymore. I grew up.

So... current favorite list of series AND movies(without opening collection and checking):

Elfen Lied (five stars)
Nausicaa
Spirited Away (the Noh mask monster is saying "hungry" in Chinese. I swear.)
Full Metal Alchemist
Excel Saga
That Maou one I can never pronounce (God Save the King, or Demonking)
High School Host Club (or whatever it's called; insisting on Japanese words you can't pronounce makes it near impossible to remember titles)

Anime that I'm following right now are:

Naruto (waiting to see if the Hinata-Naruto thing ever blossoms or are the writers going to continue to make me want to kill them for dragging things out and teasing the viewer eternally)
The Snow Queen (when the rare fansub emerges)

And this might be off topic, but current comics (manga) I'm following:

Absolute Boyfriend (Hey I AM a girl.)
Girl Genius (WHAT? It's art... it's.. uh... cartoony...)

And the one I'm working on, of course. With hopes it, too, will be in animation someday.

Anime most recently seen:

Howl's Moving Castle - which I enjoyed. But it doesn't make the fave list.

Thanks for adding your favorites, here's my commentary on each:

Elfen Lied - I watched some of this and it was just too disturbing to continue watching. Looked like it had interesting plot, but couldn't keep watching.
Nausicaa - Definitely good, but the pacing was a little too slow for my tastes
Spirited Away - Very yes: I think this is Miyazaki's best work
Full Metal Alchemist - Great stuff; probably in my top 5, or very close
Excel Saga - This was one of the first series I ever saw, and it was funny even without getting all the anime inside jokes -- but watching it again years later I gained a new appreciation of it.
Maou - Don't think I've seen it
High School Host Club - Meh, saw the first episode and didn't get into it
Naruto - Too slow for my tastes, but what I saw of it was generally good
The Snow Queen - Not seen it
Howl's Moving Castle - I really enjoyed it. Not in my top 5, but still very good.
