EATV: Now In Open Source Flavor
Introduction
Due to a number of reasons (relating to the security concerns, reliability, and the number of members who can actually watch EATV),
major changes are being made to EATV.
The new EATV platform runs on Ogg/Vorbis and Theora. This is an open-source platform, allowing users of any operating system to tune in.
The new EATV is up and live, so enjoy!

How can I know whether EATV is online or offline?
Visit the
EATV Server Page. If it's accessable and shows Click to Listen, it is most likely online. Otherwise, it is offline. If it's online and acting strange, perhaps ask in IRC if it is currently being tweaked, or check the latest posts in this thread.

How can I help EATV? [update 9/10/06]
1. First and foremost - be a viewer!
Watch EATV and interact with the community! Chat on
IRC! Read and post on the forums!
2. Join the EATVCT!
If you have lots of unlicensed anime and empty processor cycles, join the EATVCT! Joining the EATVCT will allow us to encode more anime and content faster. At least initially, you will need to know your way around a command prompt to join the EATVCT, but having access to a Windows system is no longer a requirement.
3. Provide a Relay
If you have an internet connection with at least 5mb/s upload, we want you to join the EATV network. Please introduce yourselves here. No, a cable modem or DSL is not fast enough, but we appreciate the thought
4. Donate!
Donating helps to
keep development going. Bandwidth isn't free, and EATV still uses a lot of it
